# Start OpenSearch
    turbo run opensearch/opensearch

# Check information on indexes to confirm that OpenSearch has started.

The image uses the `@SYSDRIVE@\opensearch\opensearch-windows-install.bat` as a startup file to refresh the security plugin settings on every container launch.  You can pass settings as arguments with the `-E` flag when launching the container.

# For example, use the following command to set the port to 9225:
    turbo run opensearch/opensearch -- -Ehttp.port=9225

The image is configured to fully isolate the `JAVA_HOME` environment variable in order to avoid conflicts with a native instance of the variable that may come with installs of JRE or JDK. This results in OpenSearch using its included JDK component in `@SYSDRIVE@\opensearch\jdk` by default. Use the `--env` flag or a customization layer to override this behavior.

# Configure the OpenSearch container to use the Java component at the specified path.
    turbo run opensearch/opensearch --env=JAVA_HOME=C:\path\to\java
